Dr. Haley Abivardi, DMD

A serial healthcare entrepreneur and University of Zurich-trained dentist with extensive experience building and scaling healthcare businesses, Haley led a public pediatric dental clinic, co-founded Switzerland’s first Dental Service Organization, Swiss Smile, ran a dental hygienist school, and built a global oral care brand. She leads vVARDIS’ commercial strategy, global growth, business development, and finance, expanding market access, forging strategic partnerships, and delivering sustainable value creation.
Haley earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Zurich, where she also completed her dissertation in 1998. She began her career co-leading a public pediatric dental clinic in Switzerland, providing dental care to thousands of children, particularly from underserved communities. In 2003, she and her sister founded Swiss Smile, Switzerland’s first dental service organization (DSO) and Europe’s first fear-free dental clinic groups, setting new benchmarks for accessible, patient-friendly oral healthcare. In 2007, Drs. Abivardi launched a global brand offering a line of premium oral care products. The same year they received several national and international awards, including the “Businesswoman of the Year Award” and the “Private Dentistry Awards,” among others. Haley also co-ran a dental hygienist school, supporting clinical studies and innovation in dentistry.
With more than two decades of experience as a dentist, entrepreneur, and advocate for non-invasive, patient-centric dental care, acknowledging the connection between oral health and overall health, Haley is recognized internationally as a leader and innovator in oral health. Under her leadership, vVARDIS is expanding the development and commercialization of Curodont™, its proprietary treatment for early-stage tooth decay that enables intervention without drilling and preserves natural tooth structure, which is backed by over 25 years of research and over 200 studies. Haley is a frequent speaker at international healthcare and business forums, where she addresses dental innovation, entrepreneurship, and the future of early-intervention care.

Goly earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD, Dr. Med. Dent.) from the University of Zurich and completed her dissertation in 2001. She began her career co-leading a public pediatric dental clinic in Switzerland, focused on preventive care for children, particularly from underserved communities. In 2003, she and her sister co-founded Swiss Smile, Switzerland’s first dental service organization (DSO) and Europe’s first fear-free dental clinic groups, introducing a new model of care that emphasized accessibility, comfort, and holistic well-being. In 2007, Drs. Abivardi launched a global brand offering a line of premium oral care products.
