Haley and Goly define the company’s strategy and make its most important decisions. Dr. Haley and Dr. Goly Abivardi are internationally recognized Swiss dentists, self-made serial entrepreneurs, innovators, and pioneers in oral health care who have spent more than two decades challenging conventional thinking in dentistry and advancing a new vision for oral health.

After studying medicine and dentistry at the University of Zurich, the sisters began their careers as practicing dentists, where they experienced firsthand the limitations of traditional dental treatment. They saw an industry in which the world’s most prevalent disease, cavities, was still largely managed through a cycle of drilling and removing tooth structure.

Rather than accept this as the status quo, they set out to change it.

In their twenties, Haley and Goly built companies from the ground up with a mission to improve oral health. In 2003, they founded Swiss Smile, pioneering a new model of modern dentistry and building a highly recognized, fear-free dental clinic group centered on clinical excellence, patient experience, and innovation. Their entrepreneurial journey subsequently expanded into dental education, including running their own dental hygienist school, scientific research, and the development of new approaches to oral health care. Two of their businesses became category builders.

Their most transformative chapter began with a simple but ambitious question:
What if treating cavities no longer required drilling and removing tooth structure, but could instead support the tooth’s natural biological processes to preserve and restore the tooth?

This vision led to the founding of vVARDIS in 2020. Through Curodont®, their proprietary biomimetic technology, they aim to restore carious lesions without drilling by working with the tooth’s natural biology.
